Description

ADPP is a Mozambican non-governmental association working in the areas of quality education, health, environment and sustainable agriculture. It was established in 1982 and has grown steadily during its 41 years of existence. ADPP currently employs around 3,000 staff­ and implements over 60 projects across all 11 provinces of the country, with a special focus on education, teacher training, food security, HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis prevention and care and nutrition improvement. ADPP projects benefit more than 6 million Mozambican people. Over the years, ADPP has gained extensive experience of using community mobilization packages with tailored advocacy messages, mobilizing vulnerable populations, girls, women, boys and men, duty bearers, CSOs, traditional/ religious leaders and authorities in a bottom-up movement towards ending social injustices such as retrogressive laws, practices, harmful gender norms that perpetrate ill health, illiteracy, gender based violence, poor nutritional status, food insecurity, child marriages, teenage pregnancies among others.
