Description

The United Nations Girls Education Initiative (UNGEI) is a partnership of organizations working to advance gender equality in and through education. UNGEI coordinates the Feminist Network for Gender-Transformative Education. Together with UNESCO-IIEP UNGEI also co-leads the Gender at the Centre Initiative (GCI), supporting countries with a whole-system approach to gender-transformative education. Together with its partners, UNGEI advocates and programs to end gender stereotypes in schools, promote the leadership of young feminists and combat school-related gender based violence.
