Grassroots Nest for Innovations and Change (GRIC) is a not-for-profit organization that aims to build capacities of grassroots organizations working to implement innovative and scalable solutions that increase opportunities for quality education for children and youth in marginalized populations in East Africa. GRIC aspires to be a regional hub for incubating community-led innovations for sustainable change and transformation of education for children and youth in under resourced and hard to reach communities. This is based on the belief that grassroots organizations and parents have a critical role in making education in East Africa inclusive and accessible for all children and youth. We achieve this through capacity strengthening of carefully selected grassroots organizations that work with public schools, parents, and local government structures in the communities they serve. They work to provide high quality education that equips children and youth with the skills to earn a livelihood, play a role in the advancement of their communities, and be advocates for their own rights.
