Key Information
Qatar Foundation began its mission with the founding of a single school named Qatar Academy. Today, as a city of knowledge has grown around that one school, we continue to expand our offerings to foster a culture of lifelong learning in our younger students. At Qatar Foundation, everything starts with education. From preschool through to doctoral studies, we offer learning opportunities for students of all ages and abilities. For K-12 students, we offer various programs ranging from IB-accredited school systems to specialized schools that ensure every child gets the education they need. As members of Qatar Foundation, our schools are uniquely integrated into an array of entities and centers that serve Qatar’s needs for education, research, and community development. Our students regularly interact with the surrounding entities to enhance their learning experience and give them a sense of the real world. Qatar Academy schools follow IB curricula and offer rigorous programs encompassing an international English-medium education, as well as strong Arabic and Islamic studies. We designed these schools to push students to be critical thinkers and active members of society. Since its launch in 1996, Qatar Academy has grown to five campuses located around the country.
