Key Information
Despite great progress in education, still many orphans and vulnerable children are denied their right to education. Education is a vital human right, enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Every girl and every boy should have a right to education regardless of their economical status so that they can have more chances in life, including employment opportunities, better health and to contribute to the development of their countries. ARK provides college scholarships for needy students to attend universities in Africa. Based on family need, some students receive full scholarships, while others receive partial scholarships. ARK college scholarships are only available to students who were previously sponsored by ARK through high school or those who have gone through our own schools.
