Key Information

The EI Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP) is a framework that will enable EI and its member organizations to translate education unions’ policies, rhetoric and activities relating to gender equality into action. The 2011 EI Resolution on Gender Equality states that unions are responsible for ensuring the full participation of women in union structures and at all levels. The GEAP highlights three main priorities: 1. Promoting gender equality within unions 2. Securing girls’ access to and participation in quality public education 3.
