This program main goal is to develop an innovative, intercultural and gender transformative educational model in 20 primary schools
that improves learning, empowerment, and life expectations of 6000 indigenous children. The project has prioritized its intervention in the municipality of Riberalta, one of the municipalities of Bolivia where 60% of the population lives in poverty, which affects school performance of children, as many must drop out of school over different periods of time to support the income of their families. Also, discrimination, different types of violence, teenage pregnancy and low-quality education are other obstacles to continuing their education. Therefore, schools have students who are older than expected for their grade level (falling behind in school), there are pregnancies at earlier ages, temporary school dropouts, and lack of family support for education. The Project baseline and two supplementary studies were use for a diagnosis of teaching strategies and a study on children and teenager life projects in Riberalta as a basis for the design of digital tools; and 8 diagnostic workshops to identify how the teaching curricula adapted to the Kabineño, Chácobo and Pacahuara peoples are being implemented, and how to incorporate a gender approach.
