Benefiting nearly 53 million people, Transform: Primary Health Care project strengthens the management and performance of Ethiopia’s national health system by improving quality of service delivery across the continuum of primary health care, improving household and community health practices and health-seeking behaviors, and strengthening program learning to impact policy and activities related to the prevention of child and maternal deaths. Transform: Primary Health Care project will: 1) Increase use of antenatal care, skilled deliveries, child health and family planning services to improve birth outcomes for mothers and their babies 2) Assist Ethiopia’s health sector management leadership in implementing the government’s Health Sector Transformation Plan 3) Strengthen management and performance of the public health system at the regional, zonal, woreda, and primary health care levels 4) Increase sustainable quality of service delivery across the continuum of care 5) Improve household and community health practices and health-seeking behaviors 6) Partner with the Ethiopian government, USAID, and other in-country implementers to institute a flexible, responsive, and innovative health system 7) Provide on-demand technical input and innovation as new challenges and opportunities are identified
