Key Information
During May 2020, the Republic of Congo submitted a COVID-19 accelerated financing request to the GPE. The general objective of this accelerated financing of the PME is to help the government of the Republic of Congo to ensure the continuity of learning for basic education in a safe and protective environment throughout the national territory by combining teaching, learning and prevention measures against COVID-19 and to ensure the reopening of schools. The project will integrate actions promoting the prevention of this physical, moral or online violence. These actions will be accompanied by empowerment activities for the girls themselves through the good organization of school entertainment clubs using audiovisual media (WhatsApp, school radio, educational TV). The planned activities will affect a total of 1,285,6402 school learners including 604,251 girls in 7,722 education and training establishments.
