Key Information
The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, in collaboration with development partners and the United Nations, is implementing a comprehensive initiative aimed at empowering youth through education, resources, and services, while promoting their active involvement in development processes. This project is a partnership with the Prime Minister’s Office in mainland Tanzania and the Youth Ministry in Zanzibar, focusing on the creation and refinement of policies, strategies, and frameworks designed to enhance youth services across the nation.
The primary objective of this joint effort is to empower marginalized adolescents by providing access to programs that foster personal development, promote human rights, and ensure gender equality and social inclusion. By integrating youth participation, leadership, and entrepreneurship into community initiatives, the project equips young people with the skills needed for meaningful socio-economic contributions and improved well-being, paving the way for their active role in shaping Tanzania's future, with particular attention to ensuring girls are fully included and empowered.
In line with these goals, the Prime Minister's Office for Policy, Parliament, and Coordination, launched the Manyara Region Investment Guidebook during Youth Week in Babati District. This guidebook highlights economic opportunities and the regional vision for investment and development, further emphasizing the role of youth in driving sustainable progress in the region.
