Key Information
The Learning Acceleration in Secondary Education (LAISE) Operation for Bangladesh aims to improve student learning and retention while building resilience in the secondary education system. By supporting the Secondary Education Program (SEP), LAISE focuses on three key results areas. First, it enhances student learning, retention, and resilience through an inclusive curriculum, improved assessment systems, expanded learning opportunities, ICT integration, blended learning approaches, and initiatives promoting well-being and equitable access to education. Second, it strengthens teacher competency by providing professional development, leadership training, and support for climate change education and learning acceleration. Finally, LAISE bolsters secondary education systems by introducing blended learning models, advancing inspection and online monitoring, fostering climate-resilient behaviors, and supporting vocational education. Together, these efforts aim to create a more effective, inclusive, and resilient secondary education system in Bangladesh.
