Key Information

ProFuturo, the digital education program powered by Fundación Telefónica Movistar and Fundación “la Caixa,” offers a transformative training opportunity for teachers in Uruguay. This initiative aims to bring scientific knowledge closer to the classroom and foster meaningful learning experiences through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) projects. The training emphasizes a gender-inclusive approach, promoting equality and encouraging the active participation of all students in scientific and technological endeavors.

The program includes 45 hours of dedicated learning through five modules, running from October 24 to November 21, 2023. Participants engaged with expert tutors, synchronous Zoom sessions, and collaborative discussions on the AVE platform. Topics covered computational thinking, project-based learning, and integrated gender perspectives into STEAM education.

This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of Fundación Telefónica Movistar, Gurises Unidos, Rescatando Sonrisas, Obra Social San Martín, El Abrojo, and the ANEP team. It seeks to empower educators to inspire the next generation of innovators while ensuring equal opportunities for all students in STEAM disciplines.
