Description

Futur Au Present is an association created in 2012 by Senegalese and French social workers. It operates in the main cities and regions of Senegal, and in particular in Ziguinchor, capital of Casamance. It also operates in France. It constructs social programs and research.

The House of Education (MDE) is a program for girls aged 6 to 14 who find themselves in early labor and do not go to school. In consultation with families, it aims to get them out of work, send them to school and support them in their empowerment. Opened in 2014, the MDE program aims to get girls out of early work and into school. Complementary to public schools, the MDE provides educational support and works closely with schools and teachers. It gives girls the means to integrate into the school system on a long -term basis to succeed there and to acquire the keys to their future empowerment. The objective is therefore the empowerment of girls, through support in their schooling but also so that they gain self-confidence and flourish. They are followed on the psychosocial level by the educators of the MDE so that they can overcome the trauma resulting from their early work experience and prevent any situation of rupture.
