- I Implementer
Description

ACISDA is concerned with improving the life conditions of most marginalized and hard-to-reach Afar pastoral women and girls in terms of gender equality, economic empowerment of women and girls, ending all forms of violence against women and girls (EVAWG), and including harmful traditional practices (HTPs), particularly focusing on girls education and children with disability (CWD).
One of the mandates of ACISDA is to support member states in their efforts to achieve women’s economic empowerment through a wide range of strategies and programs and increase the incomes of women and girls in their economic viability and independence using a set of prioritized interventions. Address existing social and economic barriers to women’s food security and nutrition by ensuring their equal entitlements, access to and control over assets, resources, and services. Additionally, they facilitate full, free, and informed choice regarding all aspects of sexuality and reproduction through promoting a human rights-based approach (HRBA), expanding access to information and services related to contraception, safe abortion and post-abortion care, HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, cervical cancer, and more.
