Description

Kidpower India started in 2007 in Visakhapatnam, to empower children and teenagers against all forms of exploitation or abuse and to protect child rights and basic rights guaranteed under our constitution. Kidpower India provides training in safety skills to children, teens, and adults. The training teaches how to stay safe, protect oneself and others, and increase self-confidence in any situation which are effective in preventing bullying, creating awareness about strangers, abuse prevention, and personal safety.

Kidpower specially focuses on children in difficult situations by providing them with education support, safety training, and other intervention which will help the children to continue their education and have a better future. In order to do that, they partner with schools in Visakhapatnam area. They "adopt" slums and are working with a focus to prevent child labour and enhance livelihoods of the poor.
