Kerwa Child and Family Programme

  • I Implementer

Description

Kerwa Child and Family Programme was established in 1982 by a group of women who aimed to address the poor conditions affecting  children like lack of food, clothing, poor health, high school dropout rates, and low income. Kerwa Child and Family Programme is a community-based organization working with deprived, excluded and vulnerable children, their families and communities. Enrolled families are clustered in groups with members ranging between 25 and 35. The groups form forums where children and families discuss issues affecting them. Kerwa Child and Family Programme is managed by the Project Coordinating Committee that is composed of enrolled parents and some community members. Community members are also well engaged in the implementation of the projects.
