Description
WASH United works to build a world in which all people benefit from safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), including menstrual hygiene. A unique crossbreed between an NGO and a creative agency, WASH United focuses on the challenges in advocacy and education where our combination of WASH sector expertise and creative talent can make the biggest difference.
In terms of advocacy, WASH United focuses on two initiatives: Menstrual Hygiene Day, the global movement to end period stigma, which WASH United initiated and leads; and Making Rights Real, the initiative to promote access to services for all people using human rights, which WASH United co-developed and co-leads. In terms of education, WASH United focuses on the development and dissemination of low-cost, scalable solutions for menstrual hygiene education for Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia which can be accessed free of charge.
