Description

Global Learning for Sustainability (GLS), one of the key implementing partners of the She Leads programme in Wakiso & Kampala districts, is a youth and young women-led organization founded in 2015. Initially established as a life skills education program, GLS gained Non-Government Organization (NGO) status with charity registration in 2018. We later refined our strategy to address sustainable challenges aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • SDG 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
  • SDG 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
  • SDG 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

They envision a world where youth, especially girls and young women, are empowered to drive sustainable development and contribute to a just and equitable global society.
